FraudWatch International is set to launch a new product, Security Awareness, to assist our clients in training their employees to be more aware of cyber-threats.

What is Security Awareness?

For all businesses, the front-line are the employees. These employees are not only the face of your business, but they are also your last-line of defence against cyber-attacks. It is crucial that they are trained in how to recognise potential online threats, because criminals who may try to use them as the conduit to infiltrate the company’s network and cause havoc, and that they know how to respond to these threats.

To assist businesses, FraudWatch International has developed an online security awareness and training program that educates employees about the threats that they will come into contact with on a regular basis. Businesses will be able to assess the security compliance levels of their employees and provide further training to those who may fall victim to an online threat. The great thing about this is, it is all done within the safety of a controlled environment.

Our approach to Security Awareness Training is a comprehensive lifecycle which will complement your internal security driven culture.

Security Awareness works by sending mock malicious (phishing, malware and ransomware, for example) emails to employees, imitating the type of online threats and abuse that they would encounter in the real world, to see which employees might fall victim to the threat. If an employee clicks on a malicious link or opens a malicious attachment contained in the simulated attack, they will be redirected to an online training module which is designed to teach them all about the type of threat they just fell for. This will significantly reduce the risk of them falling for the same thing next time – when a criminal might be the one sending them the attack!

Which online threats will staff be trained in?

The Security Awareness program includes Security Awareness Training across a range of areas including (but not limited to):

  • Simulated Phishing
  • Simulated Malware and Ransomware
  • Invoice Fraud
  • Tax Fraud

All of the above services are combined with relevant training modules to ensure any non-compliant staff are trained to recognise and respond to these attacks in the future.

What extra services FraudWatch International offer?

Here at FraudWatch International, we offer Security Awareness as a Managed Service. This means that we do all the hard work, and provide your team with detailed reporting including vulnerabilities and trends. We will set up simulated attacks in a controlled environment and we can tailor campaigns to your organisation’s needs.

Firstly, we run some baseline testing, to determine the “Phish-prone percentage” of your users. Your staff then have access to the world’s largest library of security awareness training content, with interactive modules, videos, games, posters and newsletters to provide them with comprehensive training.

A baseline test gives a great indication of what level staff are currently at in different areas and what areas require improvement. Our dedicated team will next work to design a tailored campaign specific to your organisations requirements to ensure the most successful program.

Finally, your dedicated analyst will review and analyse your program, and based on the results, FraudWatch International will launch the program and provide you with both qualitative and quantitative reports. This will allow you to get a full overview of where individuals and teams sit within your organisation, so that improvements can be made to ensure a security-driven culture, which isn’t prone to cyber-attacks. As a world-leader in Brand Protection and Takedowns, FraudWatch International has launched this service to assist clients by bringing them a world-class, managed Security Awareness Training experience.
